وَ اضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَّثَلَ الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیَا كَمَآءٍ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهٖ نَبَاتُ الْاَرْضِ فَاَصْبَحَ هَشِیْمًا تَذْرُوْهُ الرِّیٰحُ١ؕ وَ كَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ مُّقْتَدِرًا ۴۵
اور اے نبیؐ! اِنہیں حیات دنیا کی حقیقت اِس مثال سے سمجھاؤ کہ آج ہم نے آسمان سے پانی برسا دیا تو زمین کی پَود خُوب گھنی ہو گئی، اور کل وہی نباتات بھُس بن کر رہ گئی جسے ہوائیں اڑائے لیے پھرتی ہیں اللہ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے
(O Prophet), propound to them the parable of the present life: it is like the vegetation of the earth which flourished luxuriantly when it mingled with the water that We sent down from the sky, but after that the same vegetation turned into stubble which the winds blew about. Allah alone has the power over all things.
